A total camp experience where the young, emerging player is the focus of attention. No other basketball camp aims at both the pre-high school aged athlete as well as the varsity athlete who wants to assure himself of greater athletic success.

Meet the Team

Jim Nazos

Jim Nazos

Director

In 2012, Coach Nazos was hired as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Batavia High School. In 2015-2016 Batavia was the Upstate Eight River Conference Champions. From 2000-2012, he was the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Wheaton North High School. During his 12 year tenure, he turned the Falcons into one of the most respected basketball programs in the Chicagoland
area. Coach Nazos’ teams won 3 regional championships and a DuPage Valley Conference Championship in 2008. Coach Nazos was named District 7 Coach of the Year in 2001.

His teams win games year after year because of their offensive fundamentals and execution. Coach Nazos is known as a player developer. Whether it is in practice, summer camps or individual sessions, Coach Nazos develops drills designed to improve the individual player. His players are consistently among area leaders in shooting percentage and 3 point field goals made.

Coach Nazos is a 1989 graduate of Driscoll Catholic High School. Jim was a two time varsity letter winner in basketball. He is a 1993 graduate of Benedictine University where he played basketball for four years and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Economics. While at Benedictine he was a part of a team that won 3 conference titles and reached the elite 8 in 1991. In 2004, Jim received his Master’s Degree from Aurora University in Educational Leadership.

Jim currently resides in Batavia, with his wife, Lora and children Brooke, Nate, and Kyle.

Mike Dunn

Coach Dunn, currently the Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at York High School. Coach Dunn has been viewed as one of the top young coaches in Illinois. He has taught basketball to boys of all levels. His teams are known for their outstanding fundamental and unselfish play.

Coach Dunn is an outstanding teacher of the game and does a great job with individual improvement.

Coach Dunn is a 2001 graduate of Wheaton North High School. During his tenure, Coach Dunn won multiple regional championships as a basketball and volleyball player. Coach Dunn was a two time letter winner in basketball and three time letter winner in volleyball.

Coach Dunn is a 2006 graduate of Arizona State University where he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education History. He then received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2009 from Benedictine University.

Coach Dunn currently resides in Naperville, IL with his wife Christine and two children Elyse and Michael.

Coach Healy, currently the Athletic Director and Head Boys Basketball Coach of Wheaton Warrenville
South High School, has been viewed as one of the top experienced
coaches in Illinois. He has taught basketball to boys of all levels.
His teams are known for their outstanding fundamentals, stellar defense and
unselfish play. Mike Healy has now returned to coaching after a 3 year hiatus; during his previous tenure, he led the WWS Tigers from 2002-20011. His teams accumulated numerous awards and recognitions. In Mike’s
coaching career at Wheaton Warrenville South High School, his
Teams won 3 regional titles and Mike was named Illinois High
School Basketball Coaches Association District 7 Coach of the
Year in 2005.

Mike is also a 1989 graduate of St. Francis High School in
Wheaton. During his senior season his team took fourth place in
the IHSA state tournament. Mike was a three time letter winner
in basketball as well as baseball.

Mike is a 1993 graduate of Benedictine University where he
played basketball for four years and graduated with a Bachelor
Degree in Business Economics. During Mike’s four years at
Benedictine he was a part of a team that won 3 conference titles
and reached the elite 8 in 1991. Coach Healy is an outstanding
teacher of the game and does a great job with individual player development. Mike graduated in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics. Mike then received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2002 from Aurora University.

Mike currently resides in North Aurora, IL. All 4 of his sons Nick, Drew, Jake, and Dan played High School Basketball with Mike as their Coach. Two of the sons continued with basketball into College.

Coaches

Future Stars ensures that it offers the most elite coaching staff. All coaches are currently high school basketball coaches in the Chicago-land area. They are collegiate players as well as previous varsity high school players. Future Star coaches emphasize the development and success of the individual player as well as the instruction of team dynamics.

Athletic Trainer

Future Stars has an Athletic Trainer on staff 24 hours a day. The trainer is certified in the latest sports medicine and is available during check- in to discuss any medical questions or concerns.

This is a great basketball camp for all ages. Our son started attending as a 5th grader. Camp was organized, always on schedule, and a memorable experience. Dorms are close to the gym facility and food services. Team coaches are responsible and very knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience all around.
